I’ve waited all summer for a red admiral, and thankfully a late burst of October sunshine brought one into the garden today. I got several decent shots out of it, but this is the pick of the bunch for me, with me crouched down so that it’s taken against the sky, and with flash to bring out the detail as the afternoon sun was behind the butterfly.
