Comma Butterfly

Butterflies can be challenging, rarely sitting still for very long, and not keen to have a lens in their face, so it’s a treat when one poses for photos the way this comma butterfly did. I’d taken a few dozen shots of it a few minutes earlier when it was wandering around on some flowers, and it sat on the fence for a couple of minutes, giving me this shot, among others.

Details: Canon EOS 1200D, shutter priority mode, f10, 1/400 sec, ISO-800, Canon 75-300mm lens, focal length 300mm, 13 March 2017.
